Black Cats and Another Blogging Award for Of Tales & Dreams

The Black Cat Blue Sea Award

So imagine my surprise when I found out I had been nominated for a Black Cat Blue Sea Award?! I’m a die hard fan of black furry felines if you must know. That, in the pic above, is my ‘dæmon‘ and if you have no clue as to what I’m referring to, you best go and get yourself a copy of Philip Pullman’s Northern Lights. Asap! Black cats are tremendously beautiful creatures and while this has nothing to do with my award, I would like to acknowledge their power and the imprints they leave on the soul and heart. With Halloween just a month away, these creatures are subjected to cruelty and unfair discrimination…all due to the color of their fur and silly superstitious beliefs. Studies show that they are also the most ignored creatures in animal shelters because they don’t photograph well ( they are kinda vampire-you-can’t-see-me in selfies). So I’m going to accept this kind award and dedicate it to all the dark, murderous, four-legged cuties out there!

What is the Black Cat Blue Sea Award?

“This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes” – Ella

Thank you yet again to writteningeek for another blogger nomination. Her blog is filled with geeky goodness so please support her and go check it out! I’d also like to thank her for my first official blog post retweet of Comic Talk to Inspire Your Writing Process & Life on Twitter 🙂 Second month in the blogosphere and amazed that people find little connections in my writing. Thanks for the support writteningeek 🙂 I extend a Slayer stake and semi-cool pun your way 😀 I will now answer your 3 questions

1.What are your all time 5 favourite quotes?

“Mrs Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.” Virginia Woolf (Talk about packing a feminist punch!)

“If you remember me, then I don’t care if everyone else forgets.” Haruki Murakami

“Tales and adventures are the shadow truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes and forgotten.” Neil Gaiman

“Curiouser and curiouser” Lewis Carroll

“Laugh it up fuzzball” Han Solo ( my man) 😛

2. If you had a different name, would you be a different person?

I quite like my name…it means ‘lotus flower unfurling in the light of moon‘ and I admit it matches my personality. But I reckon I’d still be the same goofball by any other name.

3.What is your favourite music/song? Please give me a link! Would love to listen to your favs!

I love music. There are too many songs and types for me to even begin listing as my favorite. So instead I shall choose a song by a lesser known Norwegian singer songwriter (that I feel is very much underrated) in the hopes she’ll also leave a little magic in your day.

Song from YouTube channel iamAURORAVEVO.

The Rules

  1. Anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers.
  2. The nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator.
  3. The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
  4. If any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.

I would like to nominate:

bookslayer reads

Mysterious Scribbler

Dear Kitty

Cafe Book Bean

Please answer the same questions above and remember…

Emily the Strange
